It is my pleasure to welcome you to the RISE, a quarterly e-newsletter from Sunway College Kuching featuring the latest happenings and achievements of our institution.

The past years have been a challenging one for all of us due to the pandemic, however, we strongly believe that the standard of education of our students must never be compromised. Through a strong synergy of effort between various departments in the college, we continue to ensure that we provide our students with the most effective and conducive learning environment, underpinned by educational technologies and best practices.

We are proud that our students continue to strive for excellence in their studies during these unprecedented times.

In this issue we celebrate the outstanding success of our students – Jeffrey Cheah Scholastic Award Achievers from the Diploma programme and the Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera ACCA scholars. 

We are also pleased to introduce mirco-credentials courses offered, uniquely created for students to get a taste of the future major that they would like to pursue later. We are also launching a new programme, Sunway Foundation in Arts. This programme believes in holistic education. This means that, coupled with the academic knowledge students will be exposed to experiential learning as an integral part of their well-rounded education. Other stories featured within this issue include experience from students on their Sunway community and engagement activities. 

I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome our Student Ambassadors for 2022-2023 led by Ms. Audrey Wong and thank all past and immediate Student Ambassadors led by Mr. Chris Toh who has contributed and supported the college and students for the past two years.
